In 1993, Mellen Air Manufacturing, Inc. introduced the Rem-Air®, a low air loss support mattress system. Mellen Air has patented this unique, one-piece, self contained mattress, free of pumps and hoses. No other company manufactures this exclusive one-piece design.

Since its introduction, Mellen Air continues to improve the Rem-Air®, with the introduction of the Rem-Air® XL and the Rem-Air® 2000. Rem-Air® mattresses provide the hospital, nursing home and home health care industries with true, efficacious low air loss therapy.

About Our Mattresses

The Rem-Air® self-adjusting, "One-Piece", low air loss mattress replacement system provides patient support and comfort as a result of a parallel plenum chamber constructed in series, attached and interconnected. Rem-Air® achieves low air loss capability by varying pressure and counter pressure against various parts of the chamber, forcing air through the stitched seams in the system (Rem-Air® 777 and Rem-Air® 2000) and has continuous air flow within the system.

Mellen Air has designed the Rem-Air® mattress line to conform to the specifications of a Class II product.
